Yesterday morning at around 08:30 am the Pleasant Square Volunteer Fire Company and the Meco Volunteer Fire Company( Automatic mutual aide) were dispatched to 161 Echo Hill Rd for a report of a vehicle on fire inside a garage which was attached to a house. Upon arrival firefighters encountered heavy fire coming from the garage area of the house. Crews immediately deployed multiple hand lines and also a portable master stream. Multiple mutual aide for tankers and manpower were also requested to the scene. Quick action and great teamwork helped to contain this fire mostly to the garage area. The rest of the structure only having smoke,water and heat damage.
