The Pleasant Square Volunteer Fire Company would like to thank Senator Tedisco and Assemblyman Butler for working to get a bill passed which now allows us to exceed the 45 percent out of district membership cap. In the past, we have had to turn away applicants even though they lived nearby, because we could not exceed this cap. It is out hope that this exemption will assist out recruitment efforts as we are now able to accept additional members from the city of Gloversville and neighboring districts.
