The Pleasant Square Volunteer Fire Company would like to thank Senator Tedisco and Assemblyman Butler for working to get a bill passed which now allows us to exceed the 45 percent out of district membership cap. In the past, we have had to turn away applicants even though they lived nearby, because we could not exceed this cap. It is out hope that this exemption will assist out recruitment efforts as we are now able to accept additional members from the city of Gloversville and neighboring districts.

We have a wide variety of duties that need to be filled in order to fulfill our mission as a volunteer fire company. These duties include, but are not limited to:
Interior/Exterior Firefighter
Driver/Operator
Fire Police/Traffic Control
Administrative Support
Auxiliary
